I Have The Power - He Man and the Masters of the Universe
When I was writing about GI Joe in an earlier post, I mentioned my Mt Rushmore of kids shows from my childhood. I mentioned that while Star Wars held it's own place above and apart from most other things, the four shows that would dwell on my Mt Rushmore were GI Joe, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and He-Man Of those childhood obsessions, He-Man came first for me. He-Man is one of the very early things I remember being totally enthralled with as a kid. Whenever the cartoon was on, I was glued to the TV, and of course the toys became instant 'must haves' for me. It's also probably the first series that took over my interests on multiple platforms. Besides the cartoon and the toys, I, of course, had lots of Masters Of The Universe mini comics, since they came with each of the action figures.
